Serving in Congress is an honor and privilege, NOT a career.
Citizen legislators should serve their term(s), and then
return to their homes and their original employment.
Politics is not a lucrative lifetime career.
Trump's Rules for Congress
Congressional Reform Act of 2017
1. No Tenure / No Pension:
Congressional Representatives and Senators will collect a salary only while in office.
a) They will receive no pay when out of
office.
b) Once out of Office, they receive no
further Congressional Perks or
Retirement payments.

3. Congressional Representatives/Senators must purchase their own retirement plan

7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen/women are null and void.
a) The American people did not make this contract with Congress.
b) Congress made all these contracts by and for themselves - and thus are invalid.
The above Rules were created by President Trump in 2017
He will likely impose them in 2025.
