 Why Does Ukraine Matter?

The following data wis derived from material publicly available in a variety of research venues.  

We publish here to educate the general public on global economy issues, and particularly those 

which could lead to regional or global wars instigated by the Deep State.

We've also included additional material in which Putin discusses the national status of Ukraine, 

claiming it is the Russian equivalent of one of the US states [e.g., Wisconsin] as part of the USA. 

[We await clarification on this issue, but in the meantime, 

we suggest not joining NATO in its eagerness to declare war on Russia 

- which would sacrifice US Military personnel for NATO's economic gain]

Given the elimination of the subjects of Geography and World Politics from our current academic curricula, we believe there is merit to educating our readers, particularly since it appears that our current leadership is anxious to declare war against Russia in order to distract from aggression from the Chinese and the failure of the Scamdemic to facilitate totalitarian governments in previously democratic countries.

A quick glance at the map gives the reader an idea of the comparative sizes of Ukraine vs Russia.

Next, it's worth a look at the historical evolution of Ukraine up to, and through its incorporation into the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics [USSR].

Now, why does Russia really care about Ukraine as an entity?

Follow the money!  Russia's pipelines flow through Ukraine.  If the pipelines are cut or blocked, Russia's export economy could be crippled.

Is Ukraine an economic power in its own right?

Well, lots of countries believe that's true.  This map gives you an idea of its economic value on a global basis.

So, what is the Ukraine role in the world economy, and why should we care, and why should Russia?

Natural Resources:

1st in Europe in proven recoverable reserves of uranium ores; 

2nd in Europe [and 10th in the world] in terms of titanium ore reserves; 

2nd in the world in terms of explored reserves of manganese ores 

      (2.3 billion tons, or 12% of the world's reserves); 

2nd largest iron ore reserves in the world 

    (30 billion tons); 

2nd in Europe in terms of mercury ore reserves; 

3rd in Europe (13th in the world) in shale gas reserves 

     (22 trillion cubic meters)

4th in the world by total value of natural resources; 

7th in the world in coal reserves 

      (33.9 billion tons] 

 Agriculture 

 [Able to meet the food needs of 600 million people]

1st in Europe in terms of arable land area; 

3rd in the world by the area of black soil 

     (25% of world's volume); 

1st in world exports of sunflower and sunflower oil;

3rd place in Europe in terms of rail network length (21,700 km)

3rd place in the world in production of locators and locating equipment; 

    [after the US and France]

3rd largest iron exporter in the world; 

4th largest natural gas pipeline system in the world 

    [142.5 billion cubic meters of gas throughput capacity in the EU]; 

4th largest exporter of turbines for nuclear power plants in the world; 

4th world's largest manufacturer of rocket launchers;

4th in the world in clay exports 

4th in the world in titanium exports 

8th in the world in exports of ores and concentrates; 

9th in the world in exports of defense industry products; 

10th largest steel producer in the world 

    (32.4 million tons)

                                    Editorial note

Ukraine inherited a major portion of the Soviet Union Defense industry when the USSR collapsed in 1991.  This formed the basis for its massive industrial capacity - as it continues to produce much of Russia's weaponry - and combat aircraft.  It also was responsible for the design and development of the Antonov cargo plane, one of the largest in the world. 

In addition, Ukraine industry included tank production, naval shipbuilding (e.g., aircraft carriers), electronics; aircraft components; and armaments. Also of note is the wide range of metal working activity, such as the ballbearing plant in Lutsk, which supplies automobile, truck, tractor, and bus plants.

Since Ukraine produces much of Russia's Defense products, it's in Putin's best interest to maintain good relations; however, if he and Ukraine can pretend to be on the verge of war, neither the EU and the US can benefit from such a war.  NATO, of course can leverage the Fear Factor to gain more cash and armaments from the US, to which only Biden would acquiesce.

Deep State Strategy - Revisited

Is Our Government A Subsidiary of the Deep State?

As we prepare to incorporate new approaches to educating [or in many cases, simply reminding] our followers of history, we reviewed previous posts by Twitter Luminaries whom we regarded as extraordinary.  

Among those was @WarNuse, with whom we frequently corresponded.

Today, we found his posting of two speeches by Robert Welch, speaking before a John Birch Society Council audience in which his assessment of the near-term dangers of the corruption of our government were extraordinarily accurate.  He followed his first speech, with a second speech in which he proposed the remedies to prevent such a disaster from actually occurring.

What Mr. Welch could not imagine at the time was the depth of corruption in our country in which Deep State would gain control of our government and drowned it in The Swamp under the successive Bush, Clinton, and Obama Administrations.

As you can see from Welch's second speech [below], it appears a central group of concerned politicians, Military officers persuaded a rough and tumble businessman named Trump to lead us out of the morass employing the measures Welch proposed.

At this point in time, we [including Canada and portions of Europe] seem to be in a fight to the death to destroy the demons who have attempted to degrade the US [and Europe] into a communist state. 

Welch was quite accurate in his assessment and in his solutions.

Notably, he came under withering attack by the Left as a radical Conspiracy Theorist who belonged in a mental institution.  The Mainstream Media promoted this image, claiming his charges of a Deep State plot to subvert the United States were the rants of madman.  It was an effective ad hominem propaganda campaign, and his following dwindled.  But, as many are learning today, the Conspiracy Theories of the past are now proving accurate.

In Los Angeles On March 9th, 1974, Robert Welch gave two profound speeches At The John Birch Society Council Dinner where he laid out the "Insiders’ Plan" to Destroy America. 

In The First Speech Mr. Welch quotes from himself from the 1958 John Birch Society Founding Meeting about The Insiders Long-Range Plans. 

“Part Of That Plan, is of course, to induce the gradual surrender of American Sovereignty, piece by piece. and step by step, to various international organizations - of which the United Nations is the most visible, but far from the only example."

Here Are The Aims For The United States:

1. Greatly Expanded Government Spending For Every Conceivable Means Of Getting Rid Of Ever Larger Sums Of American Money, As Wastefully As Possible. 

2. Higher, And Then, Much Higher Taxes. 

3. An Increasingly Unbalanced Budget, Despite The Higher Taxes. 

4. Wild Inflation Of Our Currency. 

5. Government Control Of Prices, Wages, And Materials Supposedly To Combat Inflation. 

6. Greatly Increased Socialistic Controls Over Every Operation Of Our Economy And Every Activity Of Our Daily Lives. This Is To Be Accopanied Naturally And Automatically By A Correspondingly Huge Increase In The Size Of Our Bureaucracy, And In Both The Cost And Reach Of Our Domestic Government.” 

7. Greater Centralization Of Power In Washington And The Practical Elimination Of Our State Lines. [There Is A Many Faceted Drive At Work To Have Our State Lines Eventually Mean No More Within The Nation Than Our County Lines Do Now Within The States.] 

8. The Steady Advance Of Federal Aid To And Control Over Our Educational System, Leading To Complete Federalisation Of Our Public Education.

9. A Constant Hammering Into The American Consciousness Of The Horror Of Modern Warfare. The Beauties And The Absolute Neccessity Of Peace. Peace Always On Communist Terms, Of Course. 

10. The Consequent Willingness Of The American People To Allow The Steps Of Appeasement By Our Government, Which Amount To A Peace Deal Surrender Of The Rest Of The Free World And The United States Itself. 

So Brush The Insiders' Dust Out Of Your Eyes, My Friends, And The Communist Soapsuds Out Of Your Brain, And Ask Yourselves, In All Honesty, What On Earth Is Wrong With The United States Simply Minding Its Own Business?” 

Or With Having Its Foreign Policy Function Primarily For The Safety And Benefit Of American People? Which Is Exactly What We Had Done For The first 140 Years Of Our Existence As A Nation - To The Incredible Advantage Of Ourselves And Everybody Else.

Everybody, That Is, Except A Numerically Small Clique Of Power-Lusting Conspirators Who Had Somehow Inflicted Themselves On A Gullible World.

In his second speech on March 9th, 1974, Mr. Welch projects 15 years into the future [i.e., 1989] of what he hoped the John Birch Society might lead the American people to accomplish during those 15 years:

 

1. Our First And Most Important Specific Undertaking Is To Restore The Complete Independence Of The United States. This Includes Our Resolution To Get Us Out Of The United Nation And Get The United Nations Out Of The United States. 

[Notably, 0bama invited the UN Military into the US to "maintain order"]

 

2. We Must Once Again Make Our Money Freely Redeemable In Gold At Some Realistic Price. And We Must Take All Practicable Legislative Steps To Prevent A Recurrence Of The Enormous Thievery And Other Subversive Crimes That Have Been Perpetrated On The American People Through A Contrived Inflation By Every President From Franklin Roosevelt To Richard Nixon.

3. We Should Reduce The Number Of Government Bureaus, Of Government Civilian Employees, And The Whole Quantity Of Government By At Least 50%. And We Should Achieve At Least This Much Reduction In Proper Fashion Thru Gradually Convincing A Majority Of The American People Of The Wisdom Of Such A Course.

4. We Should Withdraw All American Troops From Every Spot On Earth That Is Not American Soil Except When And Where Such Troops May Be Required As Decided By Congress, To Protect American Lives And Property From Criminal Vandalism.

5. We Should Get Government Out Of The Areas And Functions And Activities Where Government Does Not Belong. Again, All Steps To This End Should Be Taken Gradually.

[But Nevertheless Just As Rapidly As Enough Of The American People Can Be Persuaded To Support Such Progress.] 

Any Such Achievement Will Require A Truly Massive Educational Force, But That’s Exactly What We Hope To Build During The Next 15 Years.

We Could Go Ahead For At Least 100 Numbered Items Where The John Birch Society Will Undoubtably Be Working On More Than That Many Specific Projects, Which Will Be Laid Out In Its Bulletins Before Another 180 Months Will Have Rolled Around. 

And All Of These Projects, Will Fit Into The General Pattern Indicated By The Five Major Objectives Listed Above.

So Let’s Really Wind Up This Marathon Monoloque With One Final Thought. None Of Us Can Guarantee Anything About What The Future Will Bring. I Know What A Job We Have Before Us To Rid Our Country Of The Scourge Of Communism Within The Next Few Years, And Then To Go Ahead On Our Constructive Program So Well That 15 Years From Now We Should Already Be Entering An Era Of Far Less Government, Of A Much Sounder Sense Of Responsibility, And With God’s Help Of A Better World.

But, I Sincerely Believe That It Can Be Done. And This Much I Do Know, That Every Man And Woman In This Audience Should Leave Here Tonight, Feeling In His Or Her Own Mind And Heart That It Can And Must Be Done, Then It Surely Will Be.

And So, All Of You Patriots Of Good Character, Good Conscience, And Noble Ideals Whom We Can Reach With A Filmed Version Of This Speech, In A Thousand Other Audiences, It Is With A Great Deal Of Confidence And Energising Will To Win That We Invite You To Join Us In Our Epic Undertaking, And To All Of You Great Wonderful Friends In This Pleasant Audience, I Certainly Extend My Very Deep Thanks, And Good Night.”
